Sutter Instrument Company (“Sutter”), has been acquired by Lafayette Instrument Company, LLC (“Lafayette”), a portfolio company of Branford Castle Partners.

Sutter, founded more than 50 years ago and based in Novato, California, is widely regarded as the gold standard in precision micromanipulation and electrophysiology tools used in advanced laboratory settings. The Company is a leader across mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines, including micropipette fabrication, motion control, advanced photon microscopy, glass consumables, and pre pulled pipettes. The synergy between Sutter’s microprobe fabrication instruments, micro positioners, and optical devices provides the company with a unique role in developing micro measurements and nanofabrication technologies.
