Spectris plc (“Spectris”) [SXS: LSE], supplier of precision instrumentation and controls, has sold Brüel & Kjær Vibro GmbH (“B&K Vibro”) to NSK Ltd. (“NSK”) for a value of €180M (£163M).
B&K Vibro, based in Darmstadt, Germany, part of Spectris’ Industrial Solutions segment, is an independent supplier of machinery protection and condition monitoring systems for rotating and reciprocating industrial machinery, such as pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, generators and gearboxes. B&K Vibro is a leading condition monitoring and machine protection solutions supplier to some of the largest renewable power generation, LNG, petrochemical and industrial companies worldwide.
As of 30 June 2020, the book value of B&K Vibro’s gross assets amounted to £34.4M. For the 12-month period ended 30 June 2020, the adjusted operating profit generated by B&K Vibro was £7.0M and EBITDA was £8.3M. For the full-year 2020, it is expected to deliver an adjusted operating profit of £4.9M and EBITDA of £6.1M.
