SK Capital Partners (“SK Capital”) has acquired Physical Properties Testers Group (“PPT Group”), a UK-headquartered leader in test & measurement instrumentation, from Battery Ventures.
PPT Group is a global leader in physical property test and measurement solutions. It designs and manufactures physical property testing instrumentation for a wide range of end markets and applications, offering solutions that ensure the physical integrity and quality of raw materials, components and finished products. Each brand within the PPT Group represents a category leader in their specific testing niche: James Heal, Mecmesin, Lansmont, and Alluris. Together, the PPT Group family of brands tests a wide range of physical properties, including compression, light fastness, moisture, dry rate, water repellency, abrasion, flammability, tensile and torque properties.
SK Capital is a private equity firm based in New York with $9bn of assets under management. The firm invests in companies operating in the specialty materials, ingredients, life sciences and industrial technology sectors.
