Advion’s parent company Beijing Bohui Innovation Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a developer, manufacturer, and service provider of diagnostic systems related to women and children’s health, has filed its intention to acquire Adchim SAS, the parent company of the Interchim group companies. This transaction will subsequently result in the combination of Bohui’s subsidiary Advion Inc. and Interchim SA.
Advion Inc., based in Ithaca, New York, United States, founded in 1993 is a leader in the field of high performance, small footprint Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS). Advion develops, manufactures and globally supports mass spectrometers, chip-based ion sources, microfluidic flow chemistry systems and consumables for life science and related industries. Advion was acquired in 2015 by Bohui, a Beijing based Chinese public company.
Interchim SA, based in Montluçon, France, founded in 1970, is a global provider of chromatography and purification instrumentation and consumables for life sciences, research, and industry.
Complementing Advion’s strong academic, pharma, biopharmaceutical and clinical position in mass spectrometry and chromatography products, Interchim adds a broad range of flash chromatography, preparative LC systems, SPE, evaporation, chromatography columns and consumables to the company’s combined product portfolio.
The boards of both companies have agreed to the transaction, which remains contingent upon regulatory approvals and other customary matters.
EC M&A acted as an advisor to the acquirer on this transaction.
